Hours of Work: 40 hours/week

  • Translating customer needs into laboratory diagnostic and imaging solutions;
  • Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment;
  • Maintain and grow sales relationships with existing clients & identify and solicit potential new customers;
  • Selling laboratory diagnostic equipment, tests and services to our customers;
  • Managing territory for optimal account coverage of North Western Ontario;
  • Defining and verifying customer needs and expectations;
  • Providing customer training as required;
  • Obtaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all product lines and solutions;
  • Learning and selling new products as needed;
  • Assess clients' needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms;
  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit customers’ needs;
  • Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits of company’s laboratory diagnostic equipment;
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts and maintain customer records;
  • Consult with customers after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing account support;
  • Develop and maintain technical product or service knowledge to explain features to customers and answer questions about goods or services;
  • Develop, implement and report on marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals;
  • Assess market conditions and competitors' activities and develop an awareness of emerging markets and trends; and
  • May supervise the activities of other sales specialists.


  • University Degree or College Diploma;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar sales role (acquiring new customers);
  • Ability to have an in-depth knowledge of all product modalities including laboratory diagnostics and the full digital imaging product line;
  • Experience selling Radiology and Diagnostic products;
  • Understanding of local labour and radiation laws considered an asset;
  • Intimate knowledge of the Veterinary industry and clinic dynamics;
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time (driving time) within Northwestern Ontario; and
  • Own a suitably sized and age vehicle.
